Roll Label Orientation

When printing your labels onto rolls, the orientation of the design on the label can matter. There are four different orientations; Lead In, Lead Out, Lead Left, Lead Right.

There are many factors to be considered when ordering Roll Labels to ensure they are compatible with your Roll Label Printer and/ or the Roll Applicator you may use to apply the label to the product.

The 'Roll Label Orientation' is the positioning of the label - be that portrait or landscape - on the roll.

Why is this important?

When printing, many thermal and inkjet roll printers will have a maximum width. Taking note of the particular dimensions and orientation can be pivotal in the products compatibility.

For printed rolls, the orientation of the artwork again needs to be considered if you are overprinting, or if a roll applicator is being used to
