Get creative with stickers! Have you considered ordering die-cut labels with us? These are customisable products for personal, business or branding purposes. These products are incorporated into marketing campaigns or handed out as a freebie to friends, family or customers. Cut to any shape or size you desire, they’re perfect for any occasion.
What is a die-cut custom sticker?
A die-cut custom sticker, also known as an individual sticker, is adhesive material cut into a specific, peelable shape.
These labels are designed with a border to allow room for business information, discounts or QR codes without worrying about impacting the main peelable sticker at the centre of the custom shape.
In production, we will program our machine to cut out these custom shapes from the raw material. Digitally programming our machine to cut out these labels leads to endless creative possibilities.
How are die-cut custom stickers made?
Creating individually die-cut custom stickers is more complicated than printing labels on sheets or rolls. Choosing a trustworthy and reliable supplier to manufacture these for you is important.
Your sticker journey starts with you. We LOVE how creative our customers are, and we also LOVE producing unique bespoke orders. Start by creating a design, shape and material that best suits your application. The shape of your stickers can be completely bespoke.
Once you have decided on your requirements, get in touch to discuss how to proceed and make your design ideas a reality.
Which is the best material to choose?
Selecting the right material for your application is extremely important. We can offer die-cut stickers in paper or vinyl material.
We currently offer a range of popular standard shapes and sizes through our website - such as 60mm Round Die-Cut Stickers - that may suit your application. However, you are by no means limited to these shapes or sizes! Currently, we have Round, Oval, Rectangle and Square shapes available to create individual die-cut labels. Looking for something a little more custom? You will need to contact the team to discuss your options via email.
Vinyl is waterproof and a highly durable material available in a high-tack permanent or removable adhesive. It is the most popular material for this product due to its tearproof nature. Our vinyl material is printed on using a large format printer, allowing for labels up to 1200mm wide if you desire. For cutting out your custom stickers, we will use a flatbed cutting machine and program it to cut your size requirements without the need for a tool.
Paper is a more cost-effective material option compared to the other materials we offer. With a vast range of white, colour or textured materials in matt and gloss finish, paper die-cut labels are our budget-friendly alternative.
Take your individually die-cut labels to the next level with special finishes and embellishments. Most paper materials can be foiled or laminated for extra pop and protection to the print. Spot UV is also available on both paper and vinyl materials - a subtle yet premium addition to any sticker product.
To decide which material best suits your application, we would always recommend ordering a few different samples from our website. While these won’t be cut to a specific size, it can be a beneficial service to make a final decision before going ahead with a larger purchase.
If you are looking to test out both the material and size, you will need to order the minimum order quantity of your desired product.
What additional embellishments are on offer?
To enhance the artwork and custom product you have created, there are several additional premium features we offer on top of customizable shapes, sizes and materials. These options include white ink, spot UV and gloss varnish, metallic foiling and lamination. These features deliver a quality, premium finish by adding depth and emphasis to your artwork.
What are the artwork requirements?
A high-quality sticker requires high-quality artwork. Either attach your artwork through the ordering system or send it to us via email to info@flexilabels.co.uk
For an efficient proofing process, please ensure your artwork is editable - especially if you are ordering special finishes. The designer will create a digital proof for you to approve before your order goes into production. This file must be in one of the following formats: *.ai, *.eps, *.png, *.PDF
Microsoft Word Docs and Adobe Photoshop files are also accepted, however, the artwork will not be vectorised and may produce a lower-resolution image.
Things to consider when designing your stickers:
- Die-cut labels will have a central, peelable shape.
- There is a 5mm border between the edge of the peelable area and the edge of the sticker itself.
- We require an additional 3mm bleed to ensure there are no unwanted white edges when cutting your labels down to size.

Which is the best software to choose to create artwork?
Many large and small businesses have access to Adobe Illustrator. This programme is used by industry design specialists as it creates high-quality, vectorised files with the print industry in mind. Our templates can be opened within Adobe Illustrator and used as a guide for creating your labels.
Not everyone will have the budget or expertise to use Adobe Illustrator - here are some alternatives.
Canva is an online design platform which is growing in popularity with our customers. Make sure you design your labels to the specifications on the Flexi Labels product page and, for the best results, export your files as a High-Quality PDF.
If you have yet to create your artwork for the die-cut stickers, we have label design software available on our website. A great benefit to using this software is that the label size and guidelines are set up, and ready to use! First, choose from one of our standard die-cut sizes available on the website. You will find the label design software in the 'Artwork' tab underneath 'Labels With Print & Finish'.
If you are lacking in inspiration, time or you just can’t work out the design software, don’t worry! We have in-house graphic designers who can create your artwork for you for an additional fee. All they will need are some initial ideas for what you are looking for and the rest is taken care of.
Our customers always come up with super creative and imaginative ideas, but if you are stuck on how to get started, get in touch with one of our team who can either help navigate you through the design software itself, advise on alterations to enhance your design, or create the designs for you.

Why is it so important to find a reputable printing partner?
While ordering plain labels to print yourself may initially appear more appealing for cost purposes, it is a very time-consuming and laborious task - especially if you are new to printing labels. At Flexi Labels, we are printing experts and can give you the option to order high-quality printed products for your convenience.
Even though we prioritise the quality of our bespoke stickers, we still appreciate that lead time is a very important factor for many of our customers when looking to order. Our lead time of 3-5 working days starts from the point of approval of digital proof. We think this is a very reasonable time frame to receive a product that has been made just for you and to your custom requirements.
Our proofing system is designed for printed orders, ensuring customer satisfaction and confidence in what the final product will look like. We won’t send your order into production until you have confirmed you have approved the digital proof sent over by one of our expert designers.
